is burning zombies a good was to dispose of them once their heads are removed? or should they just be left where decapatated?

Yes. Burning zombies (decapitated first!) is a great, yet inefficient, method of disposal.

What is the possibility of a Left-4-Dead type of infection? I think we can all agree that would be one of the worst case scenarios.

What exactly is it that is making humans turn into zombies? Sorry if this is a frequent question or it's boldly emblazoned across your tumblr, I'm awful at seeing things right in front of me (luckily my peripheral's good). With this whole "can animals become zombies" thing, if we knew what was more likely to cause it, then we would be better equipped at coming up with viable answers.

What do you all think? What is the most likely instigating factor of the zombie apocalypse?
We would check to make sure noones is infected. When we run out of supplies we'd Fish by taking one of the lifeboats down into the ocean

Good luck with that. Please read Max Brooks’ account in ‘World War Z’ of ship-based zombie survival. It does not end well.
The cruising thing, actually is pretty good, about the supplies, well, there's always be fish in the sea (for food), and water from the rain. If someone is infected, it could be better rid of him tied and leaved in a rescue boat, floating forever. If someone needs extra supplies, you can always ship near to a coast, take a rescue boat, a few fellas and ship into the land, waiting for nothing to happen...

What happens in five years when you’ve run out of food, been raided, or are suffering badly from dehydration? You die, that’s what happens.

Another question. Would it be viable to leave your family behind in the zombie apocalypse, if you're 100% certain that they would lead you to your death?

I've heard a theory that when zombies catch fire, it could possibly alter the genetic code of the virus they are infected with, which causes them to rapidly regenerate. I don't quite believe it myself, but what's your view on it? And what would you do if this were the case?

Wrong. Fire does not alter the genetic code of anything. Whomever told you that obviously failed Chemistry 101.

You don’t. Capture a zombie, tie it down, fill with gas, release towards pack of walker zombies.
HOWEVER. This, as we all know, is a very silly plan. Flaming zombies are still zombies. They’re simply more dangers.
For the flare gun, I'd say yes it would serve a purpose. Not for fighting off the undead hordes, but rather for tactical things. Lighting fires from a distance, sending signals, making distractions, etc. Of course, you could also use it to shoot at the undead, but honestly all I can see it doing is maybe setting a few on fire.

Exactly. A flare gun has many uses aside from killing zombies. Shooting the undead with a flare would be unwise, but it could be helpful for finding other survivors.
