A blunt instrument (crowbar) could also cause internal damage which would lessen the chance of spreading infected tissue, whereas decapitation and the like would provide many methods of contamination (all of the lovely bodily fluids that would be released). Not to mention that a machete would have to be kept sharp for maximum efficiency. Although proper headgear would reduce contamination via splatter immensely.

You make some very solid points and while we may agree on a few of the minor points, we appreciate your train of thought. A crowbar needs far less maintenance and can kill zombies with a blunt precision.
could you explain why crowbar is such a good choice? its heavy and can get stuck in their head, next thing as ur pulling it out u get bitten.
i have a samurai sword, deadly accurate with it and can easily take off multiple heads.
much prefer that to machete and crowbar. (which can get embedded)

It’s good if it’s your only option. Notta lotta people have machetes hanging around the house. But lotsa people have crowbars.
Crowbars are good, but not as a go to everyday weapon. You'd have to get awfully close to the zombie in order to hit it, and who wants to do that especially when surrounded?

Dude, weapon of choice = crowbar. the curve can most definitely penetrate the brain w/ enough force. just sayin' lol

Yes, I think we can all agree that crowbars kill zombies.
What about a crowbar? You can smash, slash, and stab with it. And it can open things too

Indeed, a crowbar is a damn good choice.
